Joseph ‘Joe’ John Poupore
POWERS — Joseph “Joe”John Poupore, 74, Powers, passed away in Green Bay, Wis., after fighting a year long illness, Papa Joe went to his Heavenly home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, Dec. 16, 2025.
Joe spent his life working hard to provide a wonderful life for his family. From logging in the woods to driving semi-truck, working construction, hauling groceries to the most remote Michigan communities and finally retiring with the Menominee County Road Commission. A true old school Teamster.
Hard work was in his bones. Setting an example to his children and grandchildren. Above his accomplishments, his greatest were his grandkids. Papa Joe is known for his kind and happy demeanor, from his chalk drawings in the driveway to four-wheeler rides through the tree patch and quirky snacks.
He will be missed by all that had the pleasure to know him.
He was married to Linda (Menard) Poupore on April 29, 1972. He adored her and she was his rock and never left his side during his illness.
Joe is survived by his wife, Linda and their three children, Jason (Kelly) Poupore, Jessica (Chris Vincent) Poupore and Justin (Rachelle) Poupore, and grandchildren, Austin, Riley (Noah), Caleb, Dominic, Carley, Bristol, Chase and Bronson. He is also survived by his brothers, Harold Poupore, Mike Poupore, and Ray (Shirley) Poupore; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Poupore and Carol (Chuck) Anderson; brother-in-law, Tom (Mary) Menard, as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by a son, Jeremy; a grandson, Cameron; his parents, Raymond and Lorena (Gagne) Poupore; in-laws, Louis and Hilda Menard; eight brothers and many sisters-in-law.
In keeping with Joe’s wishes, no funeral will be held. However, if you drive by Joe and Linda’s house on a warm summer day, honk your horn and think of Papa Joe waving and drinking a bloody beer with his lovely bride by his side.
