Darlene Solberg

KINGSFORD — Darlene Grace (Lehto) Solberg, 78, of Kingsford, passed away on Friday, Jan. 2, 2026.

Darlene was a woman of strength, steady kindness, and deep devotion to those she loved. She was known for her warmth, her generosity, and the gentle way she cared for others. Her presence brought comfort, and her love for family was the constant thread woven through every season of her life.

Darlene accepted Christ as her Savior on Easter of 1957 at the age of 10 years old, a commitment that shaped her life with hope, compassion, and steadfast faith.

Her passions included singing in the church choir, playing piano, leading women’s Bible studies, golf, and spending time with friends and family. These were the places where her joy shone brightest and where she poured her heart into the people around her.

She spent many years serving as a secretary for the Carney-Nadeau School District, where she supported students, staff, and families with patience and dedication. Later, she continued her commitment to helping others as a State Farm agent, offering guidance and reassurance to clients who trusted her steady hand. Her work reflected her character — dependable, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Solberg; her children, Keith (Renee) Paquette, Tim (Helen) Paquette, and Tracy (Paul) Swanson; and her sisters, Wanda (Sam) Faull and Jean West. Darlene was blessed with many grandchildren and great‒grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ariel Lehto; her brother, Duane Lehto; and her sister, Norma Steele.

A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., followed by a memorial service from 11 a.m. to noon on Friday, Jan. 9, at the Aurora Free Church, 1372 Osterberg Parkway, Niagara, WI 54151. Pastor Karl Utzat will officiate.

1 John 3:23 – “And this is His command: to believe in the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as he commanded us.”
