Karen Rochon

LORETTO — Karen Lynn Rochon, 79, of Loretto, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, at her home in Loretto.

She was born on March 10, 1946, in Norway, the daughter of the late Hogen and Dorothy (Mitchell) Wollum.

Karen graduated from Vulcan High School in 1964. After high school she worked for the College of the Armed Forces in Washington, D.C. until she transferred and worked at K.I. Sawyer.

Karen married Richard Rochon on Oct. 12, 1968, in St. Stephen Catholic Church in Loretto. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2023.

She enjoyed gardening, cooking and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Susie Massicotte of Kingsford; grandchildren Dayne (Alexis Roe) Massicotte and Maggy (Tyler Bengtson) Massicotte; great-grandson Jaxson Bengtson; brother Wayne Wollum of Vulcan; sister Pam Schram of Niagara, Wis.; sister-in-law Darlene (Clifford) Thiry of Carney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Karen was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Rochon; son-in-law Kurt Massicotte; brother Dickie Wollum; brother-in-law Thomas Schram; and sister-in-law Joyce Rochon.

Family will greet friends on Saturday, Jan. 10, from 10 a.m. to noon at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Norway.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at noon at Good Shepherd Lutheran with the Rev. Dr. Michael Langlais officiating.

Interment will be held in the spring at the Norway Township Cemetery.

Family suggests that flowers be omitted.
