CRYSTAL FALLS — Albert D. Manfredi, 94, passed away on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2026, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
He was born in Iron River on March 19, 1931, the son of the late Anton and Anna (Saccheti) Manfredi. Al played baseball and football for the Iron River Redskins, graduating in 1949. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1952 and was stationed at Ramey Air Force Base in Puerto Rico.
Upon returning home from the Air Force, Al married Arlene Prittinen on June 29, 1957, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Iron River. They made their home in Iron River, celebrating their 67th anniversary in June 2024. Arlene preceded him in death on Dec. 21, 2024.
Al worked at the Iron River Supply, retiring in 1997 after over 40 years behind the parts counter.
Al was an avid fisherman, often getting up in the pre-dawn hours to fish his favorite trout stream before going to work. He hunted partridge in the fall. He was passionate about his sports teams, Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Tigers, Lions, Pistons and Red Wings and the West Iron County Wykons.

He loved music and could often be heard around the house singing along to Frank Sinatra, Al Martino or Dean Martin. He enjoyed a good steak with a martini or a nice dish of pasta with a glass of Fortissimo.
Al is survived by daughter, Deb (Ray) Bowns of Rhinelander, Wis.; son, Don (Rachael Lawrukovich) of Canton, Mich.; granddaughters, Erin (Steve) Penland and Emily Bowns; and great-grandson, Max Penland; extended family and friends.
He was also preceded in death by his half-brothers, Joseph and Attilo Cerasoli; and half-sisters Eleanor Norkoli and Irene Baldinelli.
A special thank you to Iron County Medical Care Facility for the excellent and loving care they provided to Albert.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 19, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.

A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Catholic Church, with Father Daniel Fosu to offer the Mass of Christian Burial. The West Side Veterans will accord Military Rites after the service.
Interment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Iron River.
