Annette Young

Annette was born July 20, 1936, in Gladstone, the daughter of Philip and Celia (Shiska) Richel. Annette was a lifelong resident of Gladstone prior to dementia. She loved her family and traveled extensively. Her favorite cruise was to Australia to see the kangaroos and koala bears.

She spent weeks in Las Vegas with family and traveled to Hawaii several times. Annette was employed with the State of Michigan at the license plate bureau and JCPenney briefly. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Annette is survived by daughter, Leslie (Douglas) Massignan of Crystal Falls; sons, Phillip Young of Escanaba and Joseph Young of Gladstone; grandchildren, Craig LaRose (Laurie) and their daughter, Brianne (Derek), Matthew Young (Isabella) and their daughter, Merlin; daughter-in-law, Debra Young of Gladstone and her daughter, Bobbie-Jo; grandchildren-in-law Jason (Erin) and Andrew (Tuuli) Massignan and their children.

Annette is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Lloyd, Philip and Raymond Young; sister Muriel Matta; sons David and James Young; and grandsons-in-law Jedidiah and Joshua.

Family will receive friends on Friday, Feb. 6, from 10 until 11:30 a.m. Eastern time at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery Chapel in Wells. Prayers will follow at 11:30 a.m.

The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Young family.
