Janet L. Conners

She was born Nov. 4, 1945, in Topinabee, Mich., daughter of the late Leonard and Avis (Swan) Morgan. Janet was one of 19 children. She grew up and attended school in Topinabee.

On Dec. 31, 1962, she married Donald Conners. They resided in Topinabee, Mich., before moving to Traverse City, Mich., and eventually to Iron Mountain. Donald preceded her in death on Sept. 26, 2025.

Janet worked briefly as a physician’s assistant in Traverse City and also in Real Estate.

Janet was a member of the Crystal Falls Lions Club and the Finn Club. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, and traveling. Janet especially enjoyed the time spent with her family.

Survivors include three sons, Mike, Randall, and Paul Conners; one daughter, Annette Blahnik; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; four brothers; eight sisters; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Don, Janet was preceded in death by one daughter, Julia Conners; four brothers; and two sisters.

A Celebration of Life will be held downstate in the summer.
