June Rowell
KINGSFORD — June Marie Rowell, 83, of Kingsford, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, Feb. 16, 2026, at the Aurora BayCare Medical Center of Green Bay.
She was born in Kingsford on June 12, 1942, to the late Hosea and Edith (Munday) Rowell. June attended school in Kingsford until the eighth grade when she left school to begin working. Highlighted within her lifelong working career were positions as head baker with the Dickinson Inn and her 27 years with Martens Manufacturing.
June was not only hardworking and resilient, but she also had a very nurturing nature, for she was always generous with her time and talents, whether it be sharing some of her delicious canned goods or her handmade quilts. Her beautiful yet gentle laugh would occasionally appear during Saturday night card games, trips to the casino, or in conversation with family and friends. She enjoyed her quiet times reading as well. More than anything June loved to spend time with her family, especially when she would go all out on food and decorations for the annual family Christmas celebration. Her kind and calming presence will be deeply missed.
June is survived by two children, Allen (Jeanne) Sexton and Anna (Bob) Uren; a son-in-law, Daren Vincent; six grandchildren, Corey (Ashley) Christian, Sandie (Brian) Teske, Ashley Tichleaar, Cody Vincent, Raelyn (Colton) Jager, and Edgar (Jaime) Sexton; eight great-grandchildren, Gavin Goulette, Jackson and Jamison Christian, Trent and Annalise Vincent, Bowie and Booker Teske, and Dante Jager; two siblings, Donald Rowell and Melva Frey; and many other family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husbands, June is preceded in death by her daughter, Lisa Vincent; and five siblings, Loren Ausley, George Rowell, Hosea Rowell, Winfield Rowell, and Ellen Kuhl.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave., with the Rev. Jennifer Kuhl officiating the memorial service at 1 p.m.
June’s family would like to thank her nephew, George Rowell Jr., and niece Laurna Bednarz for all of the extra care they provided.
