Karen Weinert

Karen was born in Iron Mountain to Sam and Evelyn (Raymond) Strong on April 30, 1953, and was a lifelong resident of the area. She graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1971 and married her soulmate Ossie Weinert on the 11th of September of the same year.

Karen was very talented and held many jobs in the area as she and Ossie raised their two sons, Ossie Sam and Danny.

Karen leaves behind her husband of 54 years, Ossie; granddaughter Chloe Weinert; sister Susan Youngberg; and many other family members and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents; both of her sons; her sister, Sandra Strong; and brother-in-law Michael Youngberg.

Per Karen’s wishes, there will be no services at this time.

Karen and Ossie are grateful for the professional help from the Marshfield-Dickinson Hospice, Administration and their outstanding staff; nurses Faith and Heather; aide Perri; social worker Emily; as well as Dr. Terrian. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
