Esther Cram

OMAHA, Neb. — Esther Lillian Cram, 91, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, in Omaha, Neb.

A longtime resident of Kingsford, she raised her family and worked at various places, Dickinson County Community Action, Lakes Gas and later as a cashier at Walmart in Iron Mountain. She moved to Nebraska in 2014 to retire and live with her son Richard and his wife Anne in Bellevue, Neb.

She is survived by her children, Richard Ziehm of Bellevue, Carla Anderson of Iron Mountain and Darryl Ziehm of Appleton Wis.; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many loving family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Eina and Hugo Jacobson; and siblings John Jacobson, Ralph Jacobson, Francis Reed, Ruth Raatz and Alice Reed.

Throughout her life, Esther had a passion for painting, particularly creating landscape works in oil paint. She was a dedicated student of her craft and found great joy in her artwork. She was known as a hardworking and devoted mother who formed lasting friendships wherever she went.

Esther leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity and cherished memories that will be held close by all who knew her.
