Beverly LaPine

LORETTO — Beverly Ann LaPine, 85, of Loretto, died on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Evergreen Meadows Assisted Living in Norway.

She was born on Oct. 20, 1940, in Norway, the daughter of the late Charles Peterson and Pearl (Vanderlin) Wills. Beverly grew up in Norway and graduated from Norway High School in 1958.

She married James LaPine on Aug. 13, 1960, in St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. He preceded her on July 28, 2023.

Beverly worked for many years in retail, including as an assistant manager at JoAnn Fabrics from 1981 to 1987, continuing there until the store closed. She later worked at Brooks of Norway and Edie’s Interiors until retiring in 1997. After her retirement, Beverly spent time volunteering with the Hospital Auxiliary in Loretto.

Beverly found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening and took pride in her beautiful flower beds. She was also talented in sewing and crafting and was a wonderful cook and baker, often sharing her creations with those she loved.

Above all, Beverly cherished time spent with her family. Her warmth, care and presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered.

She is survived by her sons, Jimmy LaPine and Tim (Dani Varda) LaPine; daughter Lisa (Doug) Kraemer; grandchildren Larry (Katie) LaPine, Ashley (Jeremy) Mack, Laura (Billy) Burklund, Nikisha LaPine and Timothy LaPine; great-grandchildren Kaleb and Aubree LaPine, Scarlett, Lillian and Vera Mack; sister Dorothy Palin; and a great-grandson on the way.

Beverly was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, James LaPine; and daughter-in-law Jenny LaPine.

Her family would like to thank the compassionate staff for the love and care she received at Evergreen Meadows Assisted Living in Norway and OFS Hospice.

According to Beverly’s wishes, there will be no funeral services.

Interment will be announced at a later date and held at the Norway Township Cemetery.
