KINGSFORD — Gabriella B. “Gabe” Slater, 71, of Kingsford, passed away Monday, April 13, 2026, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born Sept. 30, 1954, in Capistrano, Italy, the daughter of the late Gaetano “Guy” and Inez (Delcotto) Ciulini.
Gabe graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1974 and lived in the area for most of her life. On May 20, 1992, she married the love of her life, Daniel Slater.
For many years, she worked in housekeeping and maintenance at NorthPointe Behavioral Health Services in Kingsford, where her hard work and caring nature touched those around her.
Gabe found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved cooking, dancing, watching movies, and expressing her creativity through crafts and jewelry making. She had a beautiful heart and was always generous with her time and talents, giving freely to family and friends.

A woman of strong Christian faith, Gabe trusted in Jesus as her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed listening to contemporary Christian music and attended St. Mary and St. Joseph Church and Cornerstone Community Church over the years.
Above all, Gabe was a kind and loving person whose warmth and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Daniel Slater; stepson Michael Slater of Tomah, Wis.; stepdaughter Angie Mattison of Phoenix, Ariz.; brothers Anthony Ciulini of Marquette and Frank Ciulini of Kingsford; her mother-in-law, Ruth Brandt of Florida; a sister-in-law, Pamela (Scott) Trask of Iron Mountain; and a niece, Sarah Kunkel of California.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 25, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A memorial service will follow at noon at the funeral home. Pastor Anthony Miller will officiate.
