NEENAH, Wis. — Geraldine Beverly LaRoux, 95, of Neenah, passed away peacefully at ThedaCare-Neenah on April 16, 2026, with her children at her side.
She was born on Nov. 28, 1930, to Ora and Flora (Balsom) Dishaw in Iron Mountain. When Jerry was age 9, her mother, Flora, passed away. Her father remarried to Rose, who raised Jerry and her sisters as young girls.
Later in life, Jerry attained her bachelor’s degree in education from UW-Oshkosh. She was known for making her pasties, a family favorite. Jerry always appreciated goodie baskets and visits from Jeff and Mary Chartier. Jerry loved to travel and especially enjoyed her time in England and France. She was very interested in genealogy and tracking her families’ history.
Geraldine is survived by her son, Mark LaRoux and Susan Bochte; her daughter, Michelle LaRoux; her grandchildren, Alex (Leslie), Vincent (Leah), Rachel (Noah), Sean and Stephanie Cavanaugh and their family and Brian and Stephanie Rabe and their family; her great-grandchildren, Harvey, Otto, and Liam; her sisters, Lorraine (the late Bob) Fronsee, Sharon (the late Bill) Schultz, and Kathy (Denny) Povolo. Jerry is further survived by many caring and nieces from the LaRoux side of the family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Flora and Ora Dishaw; her stepmother, Rose Dishaw; her husband, Vern LaRoux; and her brother, Bill Dishaw. Jerry is further preceded in death by her father-in-law, Albert LaRoux; her mother-in-law, Sara LaRoux; and her siblings in-law, Harold, Art, Betty, Jean, Delores, and Aggie Mae.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
