Gladys ‘Daisy’ Olson

She was born on Dec. 26, 1931, in Sagola, Mich., to the late John and Sophie (Semmick) Harwath. She was born and raised on a farm in Sagola.

She enjoyed road trips with her son, Joe, to town, Randville for lunch, Way Dam, and weekly errands.

Daisy was known for catering weddings and other functions. She was a health care worker for Iron County Medical Care Facility for a number of years.

She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Channing.

She is survived by her sons, Chuck (Dorothea) Olson, Jack (Beverly) Olson, and Joe Olson; daughters Cindy Lucas, and Liz (Rich) Mikiclich; sister Katie Driscoll; 11 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and many nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Kenny” Olson; brother Harry Harwath; sister-in-law Gwen Harwath; and brother-in-law Chuck Driscoll.

Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. Thursday, April 9, at Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in the spring at Channing Cemetery.

The family will be announcing a Celebration of Life at a later date.
