IRON RIVER — Gloria E. Wills, 91, of Iron River, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
She was born on Sept. 2, 1934, in Caspian, the daughter of the late Calvin J. and Carmella M. (Talerico) Wills. Gloria attended the Caspian and Stambaugh Schools, graduating with the Class of 1953.
She was employed as a social worker in Shawano, Wis., and later Coleman Products after returning to Iron River. Gloria was a former member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Caspian, the St. Anne’s Society, and the St. Cecilia Choir. She was a former CCD teacher and loved singing in the choir. She also enjoyed baking and spending time with family.
Gloria is survived by her daughter, Kathryn (Michael) Taetsch of Iron River; daughter-in-law Jill Sabotta of Caspian; grandchildren Michael (Heather) Taetsch, Ryan (Amanda) Taetsch, Shannon Taetsch, Kelly (Amber) Taetsch, and Steven Sabotta; many great-grandchildren; sister Carol Possanza of Florida; brother Thomas (Carol) Wills of Arizona; special friends Rob and Ruth Possanza; nieces; nephews; extended family; and friends.
She was preceded in death by son Kary Holmes.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Mark Mattson to officiate.
Interment will be in Stambaugh Cemetery.
