James Kunz

He was born on Sept. 18, 1940, in Ironwood, to the late Ed and Loretta (Nadolny) Kunz.

Jim quickly developed a passion for hockey and baseball that continued throughout his life. Jim graduated from St. Ambrose Catholic High School in 1959 and completed pharmacy school at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Okla.

After serving as a pharmacist for many years at Schultz Pharmacy in Oshkosh, Wis., Jim eventually became the owner of Falls Drug Store in Crystal Falls, until his retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife, Janet (Allan) Kunz; daughters Jamie, Nancy, and Anita (Robert), Deidre; son James Jr.; granddaughter Katie (Jordan); stepchildren Kim (George), David, Jennifer (George), Todd (Kari), Lisa (Vince), and Robert (Jacque); and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his brother, John; and nephew Jeffrey.

A celebration of Jim’s life will be announced at a later date to take place during the summer of 2026.
