June Pollock

RANDVILLE — June Elizabeth Pollock was born Aug. 16, 1937. She was the first of seven children born to John and Cecile Ott of Randville. June passed over into the presence of Jesus her Lord on March 17, 2026.

June Bug, as her father fondly called her, was fun-loving, not afraid of hard work, and always ready to lend a helping hand. A 1956 graduate of Channing High School, June married the love of her life, Robert Duane Pollock, on June 30, 1956. They had six wonderful children and enjoyed 64 years of marriage before his passing on April 10, 2020.

June loved Christian music in her home continually, often playing WRVM. She never complained as her children learned to play musical instruments. Many special times were shared around the piano, with various instruments as we sang about Jesus. This love has passed through the generations as many sing and play.

She enjoyed crafts and all sorts of games. June enjoyed an occasional game of Scrabble with her sister-in-law, Verna Pollock. She truly loved playing with the children and all our pets. She always loved beautiful kitty cats and the color green. June was a great cook and well known for her cookies. An excellent host, she could stretch a meal to happily include unexpected guests, which was one of her many attributes as a pastor’s wife.

Many stayed in her home and felt at home. She volunteered at Bible Camps & V.B.S. doing what needed doing, as she did everywhere, many times silently working in the background cooking, cleaning, caring for babies, taking hold of what the unfolding days brought and helping it become as God would desire.

Foundational to June and Bob’s families was the Randville Bible Church, the stable beacon for Jesus there. They helped to physically build the church and sacrificially gave of their many talents to serve there and in many places from Nebraska to nearby Norway; but Randville was home, and June attended to the end. As a widow, she greatly enjoyed living near her sisters, Patt Carlson and Helen (Bill) Bjorkman. They took turns hosting their evening meals and ended each evening with a game or a puzzle.

June is survived by five children, Joy (Marc) Crane of Darlington, S.C., Rebecca (Les) Gould of Clio, S.C., Jane (Mark) Erickson of Andover, Minn., Daniel (Diane) Pollock of Kingsford, and Beth Shaw of Bean Station, Tenn.; sisters-in-law Mary Ott and Jill Ott; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and grandma to many other children too.

June was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pollock; parents John and Cecile Ott; brothers Donald and Rodney Ott; brothers-in-law Dean Anderson, Wayne Swanson, John Arvid Carlson; son Paul Pollock; and grandson Shawn Crane.

A memorial service in memory of June will be held Friday, April 10, at Aurora Free Church, 1372 Osterberg Parkway, Aurora, Wis. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon, with the service following. The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials be given to their beloved Randville Bible Church or re-opening of Lake Ellen Bible Camp.
