KINGSFORD — Levinus “Louis” J. deKoster, 71, of Kingsford, passed away on Monday, April 6, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis. surrounded by the love of his family.
Louis was born on Sep. 9, 1954, in Eindhoven, Netherlands, son of the late Petrus and Maria (Dommelen) deKoster.
On Christmas day 1977, while serving in the Royal Dutch Navy in Curacao, Louis met Nancy Johnson, who was vacationing with her family. The two were united in marriage on June 2, 1979, and enjoyed 46 wonderful years together.
Louis and Nancy shared many adventures throughout their years, full of happy memories and delicious food. Louis was an avid train enthusiast; building many indoor train layouts, as well as his very own front yard garden railroad! He was passionate about volunteering for Operation LifeSaver, where he had been a volunteer for the past eight years. Louis was also well known in the community volunteering for events at Lake Antoine with his wife, Nancy.
