Nancy R. McKendrick

She was born on April 12, 1941, in East Detroit, Mich., to the late Arthur Holbrook and Ida (Pangrazzi) Holbrook.

She was a graduate of East Detroit High School, Class of 1957. She obtained her nursing degree from Bay de Noc in Escanaba, and worked for a number of years as an LPN at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center prior to retirement in 2003.

Nancy enjoying crocheting, gardening, feeding the hummingbirds, being a part of the paint club – Le Artiste, basket weaving, camping in summer and, most importantly, being with family.

She is survived by her sons, David (Susan Forest) McKendrick, and Daniel McKendrick; sister Judy Jefferies; granddaughter Celia McKendrick; great-grandchildren Manny McKendrick, and Ellis McKendrick; special niece Jane (Maria Olsen) Jefferies; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Suzanne McKendrick; and brother Thomas Holbrook.

In accordance with Nancy’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
