Paula Slagle

Paula was born in Milwaukee on Sept. 25, 1948. In 1966, she graduated from Start High School in Toledo, Ohio.

On Jan. 26, 1974, Paula married Ronald Slagle in West Unity, Ohio; he preceded her in death in 2023. Paula owned an upholstery business, Slagle Upholstery, for many years. She also owned and operated the Sportsman’s Paradise Resort on Norway Lake with her husband, Ron, for over 30 years. Paula enjoyed taking trips to the casino. Most of all, she loved spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Paula will be greatly missed by her children, Alison (Matt) Karpinski, Jason (Jennifer) Slagle and Susan (Jeff) Steinbrecher; grandchildren Alaina, Tyler, Trevor, Cody, Justin (Tabby), Lauren, Ashley (Joel) and Jeffrey; and a great-grandson, Ari.

In addition to her husband, Ron, and her parents, Bill and Lenore (Walcott) Clark, Paula was also preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Marie Slagle; and a sister, Lynne Anderson.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
