Richard “Dick” Kreider
FLORENCE, Wis. — Late on Easter Sunday, April 6, 2026, with his family at his side, Richard “Dick” Kreider went to be in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
At the age of 85, he lived a full life dedicated to serving God, preaching the Good News, and edifying the saints.
He was born June 6, 1940, to the late Carl and Christina (Martin) Kreider and graduated from Kingsford High School in 1959. After high school he attended Bethel College in St. Paul, Minn.
He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Sharon (Wilson), in October 1961. They were married 64 years.
Dick developed a disciplined work ethic as a young boy in Milwaukee, delivering the Milwaukee Sentinel riding his bike on his paper route. He worked continually in various professions for over 65 years until he was 75 years old. He retired in June 2015 after serving nine years as pastor of Lakeview Bible Church in Crystal Falls. He worked in business management, restaurant management, sales, sales management, and served several churches as pastor. He loved teaching the Word of God and was always involved in teaching Sunday School or preaching.

At a young age, Dick trusted Jesus Christ as his only hope for salvation, trusting the One who died in his place as his substitute. He taught his three boys this Truth, “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved!” His legacy continues through his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon; his three sons, Brian (Lisa), Jonathan (Lourdes), and Matthew; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Dick was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Christina; his siblings, Arden, Loren, Ronald, Gerald, and Nancy (Johnston).
A funeral service will be held in honor of Dick at 11 a.m. on April 18 at Lakeview Bible Church, 1211 U.S. 2, Crystal Falls.
