ARMSTRONG CREEK, Wis. — David H. Millan, 73, of Armstrong Creek, Wis., passed away peacefully after a long and courageously fought battle with cancer on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at Aurora Medical Center-Green Bay.
He was born in Laona, Wis., on Sept. 30, 1952, to Ignautius and Josephine (Wall) Millan. David married the love of his life, Dawn (Majewski), on July 21, 1973, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. They shared 52 years of marriage.
He was a talented sawyer and builder who always kept himself busy outside. He was known as one of the most giving, strongest and hardest-working individuals around. If something was broken, chances are he could fix it. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone, never expecting anything in return.
He enjoyed spending time with Dawn and his family because above all, family meant everything to him. His family was deeply blessed for having him in their lives. He enjoyed when they were all together, may it be playing games, having large family meals, hunting in the woods, working on firewood, butchering deer, riding in the row boat on the pond, fishing, and so many other things. He made everyone laugh with all his jokes, one liners and shenanigans. He made life fun. He was loyal and honorable. We will never meet another man like him.
David is survived by his wife, Dawn; children Amy (Steve) Wysocki, Andrew (Angy) Millan, Stanley (Andrea) Millan, Bill (Lori) Millan, and Jacob (Amanda) Millan; 13 grandchildren, Sophia (Preben), Owen, Faith Ann, Skylar, Alivia, Grant, Zander, Naomi, Emma, Louise, Harper, Wesley, and Evianna; and his brothers and sisters, Paul (Kathy) Millan, Theresa (Gary) Majewski, Dolores (Kenny) Raboin, Joan (John) McLain, Susan (Chuck) Komp, and Patrick (Kara) Millan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ignautius and Josephine (Wall) Millan; and in-laws Anton and Carol (Hoffman) Majewski.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 22, at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church in Armstrong Creek, with Father Soja Joseph presiding. Visitation is at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass.
The family would like to thank the nurses and doctors at Aurora BayCare Medical Center and The Vince Lombardi Cancer Center. David especially wanted to thank his oncologist, Dr. Demet Gokalp Yasar, for all her care and kindness over the past three years.
Roubal Funeral Home of Wausaukee is assisting David’s family with arrangements.
