Marion ‘Joy’ Bilski

Norway — Marion “Joy” Bilski, 93, of Norway, was called home to Jesus on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center – Dickinson in Iron Mountain.

Joy was born at the Penn Hospital in Norway on April 12, 1933, daughter of the late John Joseph and Ida Julia (Deehr) Schiska.

She was raised in Norway and attended Norway Public Schools, graduating in 1951. After high school, Joy attended Cloverland Business School. She worked at Wisconsin-Michigan Power Company for 14 years.

Joy married Andrew Bilski on May 21, 1966, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. They made their home in Norway, where they raised their children and together, they ran North Star Trucking Company. Andrew preceded her in death on Aug. 15, 2007. They were both members of St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway. She had a strong faith and was a prayer warrior.

Joy is survived by her sons, Jim Bilski of Norway, Gary (Gabrielle) Bilski of Alexandria, Va.; daughter Lauri (Rodney) Mongrain of Kingsford; grandchildren Jacob (Lilly VanLoon) Mongrain and Claire (Drew Christianson) Mongrain.

Joy was also preceded in death by her parents; sister Rita Mae Weber; her brothers, John, Father Paul and infant brother Anthony.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Marshfield Medical Center — Dickinson for their kindness and compassionate care. She truly appreciated each and every one of you.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Norway.

A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, May 23, at 11 a.m. at the church, with Father Abraham Mupparathara celebrating.

Interment will follow at the Norway Township Cemetery.
