NIAGARA, Wis. — Robert “Bob” Allen Sanicki, 79, of Niagara, Wis., passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis., with his family by his side.
Bob was born in Norway, on March 23, 1947, to the late Walter and Constance (DuFresne) Sanicki. He graduated from Niagara High School in 1965. Two years later he enlisted with the U.S. Navy, where Bob served for four years, completing stints in Morocco and Italy, before being honorably discharged on Feb. 1, 1971.
On June 12, 1971, Bob married Judith (Judy) Cavicchioni at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Bob started at ISP Minerals in Pembine, Wis., in 1971, working there for more than 30 years before his retirement. Bob was regarded for his strong work ethic, intelligence, and keen ability to improve processes and make them more cost effective.
Bob loved spending time outdoors, whether it be fishing with his grandchildren, looking for mushrooms, or tending his vegetable garden and beloved tomato plants. He was a great cook, a talented woodworker, and passionate about politics, closely tracking the news and world events. Bob will be remembered for his great sense of humor, deep well of knowledge, and love for his family and friends.
Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife of nearly 55 years, Judy Sanicki; his daughter, Julia Berglund and her husband, Michael Berglund; his son, Paul Sanicki; his daughter, Anne Sanicki; his grandchildren, Abbigail Berglund, Joseph Berglund and his wife Callee Berglund, Matthew Berglund, and Ian Berglund; and his four great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Elise, and Nolan Redding and Jackson Berglund.

Per Bob’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
Special thank you to the stellar team of doctors and nurses at St. Vincent Hospital who provided Bob with excellent care and provided comfort to his family, as well as the dear friends who helped to support the Sanicki family with pet sitting, food deliveries, and kind messages and support during this difficult time.
