Josephine ‘Joanne’ Schreiner

Joanne was born on Nov. 26, 1939, in Kingsford to Raymond Anthony Gussert and Eva Marie Jossart. She was raised alongside her siblings, Olive, Raymond, Robert, John, Rose, Elizabeth, and James. Her brother, Richard, survives her.

Joanne was previously married to William Raymond Marquardt, with whom she shared and raised her family. She was later married to John William Schreiner, who preceded her in death.

She was a loving mother to Eva Marie Grabowski (David) and Bill Raymond Marquardt (Heather LeMay), and a proud grandmother to Kayla Josephine Grabowski. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Joe Schreiner (Tenora), Karen Schreiner, Sharon Schreiner Ceccarelli (Doug), and John Schreiner Jr.

Joanne worked at Briggs & Stratton for 36 years as an assembly machine operator and inspector. She enjoyed painting, watching birds, taking walks in the park, and spending time with family. She loved her many nieces and nephews and was known for her kindness and generosity.

She was also a longtime member of Holy Assumption Church, now known as St. Barnabas.

Joanne will be laid to rest alongside her family Saturday, June 20, at Quinnesec Cemetery in Quinnesec.
