Michael Baranski

He was born on April 21, 1957, in Norway, the son of the late Thadeus and Rose (Opolka) Baranski.

Mike graduated from Norway High School in 1975.

He married Danielle Nord on Aug. 26, 1989, at the Mission Covenant Church in Foster City.

He worked as a tour guide at the Iron Mountain Iron Mine and then as a lab tester at the Niagara Papermill until it closed and he retired in 2008.

He enjoyed camping, an occasional casino trip, the Green Bay Packers and spending time with his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife of 36 years, Danielle; son, Tyler (Summer Bourg) Baranski; grandchildren, Kamden and Kendall Kleikamp; sister, Roseann DeMarse of Vulcan; brother, Albert Baranski of Vulcan; stepbrother, David (Mary) Wenzel; mother and father-in-law, Ann and Jack Nord; sisters-in-law, Tracy (Paul) Schultz, Rochelle (Will) Toyra and Alissa (Knute) Runsat; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, John Baranski; brothers-in-law, Richard DeMarse and Shawn Nord; and his stepfather, Roy Wenzel.

A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced.
