Betty Uren
GREEN BAY, Wis. — Betty (Perron) Uren passed away Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Woodside Lutheran Home in Green Bay.
Betty was born on Dec. 6, 1934, to parents Wilfred and Ann Perron. She married Robert Uren on Feb. 25, 1956. He preceded her in death in August 2010.
Betty lived a very active life and enjoyed camping, gardening, casino trips and being a social butterfly. She loved shopping and staying current with the latest fashion trends. Betty was living independently until a fall in 2019 that caused her brain injury, resulting in her moving to memory care at Woodside Lutheran Home.
Betty is survived by her sons, Scott (Pamela) Uren of Racine, Wis., Robert (Anna) Uren of Franklin, Ohio; and daughter, Paula (Mike) Hilbert of DePere, Wis.; and son-in-law, Doug Atkinson of Bradenton, Fla.; grandchildren Jason Porath, Chris (Jessica) Atkinson, Simone (Tony) Rossato, Joseph Uren, Corey (Ashley) Christian, Sandra (Brian) Teske, Austin Stanek and Cassie Hilbert; along with great-grandchildren Parker, Aria, Jamison, Jackson, Olive, Lincoln, Bowie and Booker.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred Perron and Ann Doepke; mother- and father-in-law Joseph and Beatrice Uren; sister Janice Bevilauqua; husband Robert; and daughter Linda Atkinson, who passed away in 2023.
The family would like to thank Woodside Lutheran Home caregivers and Pastor Steve Apfel for providing Betty with excellent care over the past seven years. Dementia may have robbed her of her memories but she is now reunited with her loved ones and whole again.
A private church ceremony will be held at a later date.
