Danielle K. Fleming

Born on Nov. 9, 1984, in Iron Mountain, Danielle was the beloved daughter of Caryn (Duchaine) Carlson and Kerry Paquin. She married the love of her life, Matthew J. Fleming, on Oct. 1, 2005, at St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain, where together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and love.

Danielle possessed an incredible work ethic and an entrepreneurial spirit. She founded Organic Grounds, a coffee shop created with the vision of serving wholesome, nutritious food in a warm and welcoming environment. She also owned House of Nine Design, where her creativity and passion for beautiful spaces were evident in all she did.

While Danielle found success in business, her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment was being a mother to her seven beloved children. Homeschooling them was a labor of love, and she treasured every moment spent teaching, guiding, and creating lasting memories with Addison, Olivia, Jolie, Meira, Maddox, Finn, and Mari. Her family was the center of her world, and there was nothing she cherished more.

Danielle embraced a life close to nature. She loved caring for her farm, where she raised cows, goats, pigs, chickens, and ducks. An avid gardener, she found peace and fulfillment tending to her flowers and gardens. She also enjoyed boating, biking, riding side-by-sides, snowboarding, and spending time at the beach or on the water. Whether renovating her home, decorating, or simply enjoying the outdoors with her family, Danielle brought creativity, energy, and joy into everything she touched.

A faithful member of St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church, Danielle lived a life rooted in faith, kindness, and devotion to those she loved. Her generous heart, unwavering strength, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew; her seven children, Addison, Olivia, Jolie, Meira, Maddox, Finn, and Mari; her mother, Caryn Carlson; her father, Kerry Paquin; her sister, Sarah (Daniel) Grignon; her mother-in-law, Teri Fleming; her paternal grandmother, Phyllis Paquin; her brothers-in-law, Aaron (Kelsey) Fleming and Nathan Fleming; and many cherished aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

Danielle was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Steve Fleming; her maternal grandparents, Roger and Kathleen Duchaine; and her paternal grandfather, Eldon Paquin.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 17, from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 18, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Father Janusz Romanek will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.

Though her time on earth was far too short, Danielle’s legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply, the lives she touched with her kindness, and the countless memories that will be treasured forever.

Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery.
