Jeffrey Pilot

Jeff was born May 19, 1957, son of the late Edward and Beverly (Koller) Pilot. He was a lifelong resident of this area and graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1975. He also spent two years of college at Northern Michigan University in Marquette.

Jeff dedicated many years as a master carpenter with Paul Lundy construction, where his craftsmanship and work ethic earned the respect of all who knew him.

He lived for his children and his beloved dogs over the years and found his greatest joy in spending time with those he loved. Whether he was deer hunting, fishing, cooking meals for his family, cheering on Michigan football, playing a game of cribbage, or simply enjoying the peace of the woods in his sugar shack, he embraced life’s simple pleasures.

Jeff is survived by two children, Joshua Pilot of Iron Mountain, and Alyssa (Patrick) Digneit of Marquette; and one sister, Debbie (Mike) Oberdorfer, and one brother, Brian (Carol) Pilot, all of Breitung Township. Jeff was so looking forward to his first grandson due to arrive in August of this summer.
