HERMANSVILLE — Laurence J. (Teboy) Savord, 91, of Hermansville, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson with his family by his side.
Laurence was born on March 19, 1935, to William and Rose (Fabry) Savord in Escanaba. He married the former Martha Page on Sept. 16, 1955, and together they made their home in Hermansville with their two children.
He worked various jobs, primarily in the woods of Hermansville, doing construction with Laborers Union 1329, and later as the maintenance man at Golden Shores Apartments. Teboy enjoyed hunting, fishing and was a long-time member of both the Normenco and William Anderson Sportsman Clubs.
He also greatly enjoyed making maple syrup, negotiating a good deal, and spending time with family, friends, and many others who would stop by to hear him share his stories and knowledge of local history.
Along with his wife, Martha, he is survived by his daughter, Elaine (Kim) Veeser; and son Jim (Lisa) Savord. He is also survived by grandchildren Jason (Trisha) Veeser, Matt (Jessie) Veeser, Brian (Melissa) Veeser, Adrienne (Brent Gendron) Savord, Andrea (Arthur Lace) Savord and Jessica (Jesse) Arkens; great-grandchildren Owen, Brynn and Layton Veeser, Darin Redinger and Mya Veeser, JJ and Jack Veeser, Noah and Jace O’Connor, and Eleanor Gendron.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings Howard (Shirley) Savord, Elizabeth (Roger) Whitens, Rose (Brian) Cowles, Wesley Savord, and Gary Savord.
The family would like to thank Dr. Anthony Jovanovich and the emergency department staff at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson for the excellent care they gave to Laurence. They also extend their special appreciation to Bruce Whitens and Tim Bal for all the help and companionship they provided him over the years.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
