VULCAN -- Beverley Lou Watson, 77, of Vulcan, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026, at St. Mary's Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born on July 26, 1949, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of the late Alvin and Jeanette (Leslie) Perry.
Beverley married James Watson on Dec. 28, 1983, at Calvary Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on Feb. 6, 2021.
She loved life to the fullest and laughed a lot with family and friends. A few of her favorite things to do were spending time fishing, singing karaoke -- especially Lady Gaga's "Pokerface" -- playing bingo, doing DIY projects like diamond art, working on house projects, planning meals and recipes, organizing photo albums and taking care of the grandkids.
Beverley enjoyed going to Camp Appleknockers and Runkle Lake, going fishing and eating a good fish fry.
She had a lasting impact -- being around her was like experiencing the feeling of a warm hug from the only person who understands. She could express great empathy in words and through physical action. In many ways Grandma was the glue that held our family together.
Grandma's ability to be deeply empathetic was extraordinary. She was the assigner of the "right" job, the listener who could understand any concern and then provide a solution that worked for everyone. She could express attention to grandchildren individually so that each grandchild had their individual needs met. Grandma understood that every grandchild had a different love language, and she knew how to best meet our needs seemingly effortlessly.
Beverley is survived by her daughters, Christine Watson and Donna Watson; stepdaughter, Brenda Chartier; grandchildren, Brooke, Tamara, Mandy, Teri, Jimmy, Tyler, Tim, Tniya, Abby, Emma, Sierra, Lexi, Ethan, Grace, Devin, Nevaeh, Randall, Lily, Ella, Jace, Georgia, Adalynn, and James; many great-grandchildren; siblings, Nancy Perry, Michael Perry, Casey Perry, Tracy Perry, Roxane (Mark) Tauschek, Clifford (Cheryl) Perry an Audrey (Shawn) Brown.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Lorraine Provencher; brother Jeff Perry; and stepson-in-law, Pat Chartier.
A private family graveside service will be held at the Quinnesec Cemetery.
