KINGSFORD Joyce H. Paupore, 96, of Kingsford, passed away on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson in Iron Mountain.
Joyce was born Sept. 9, 1929, in Laurium, Mich., the daughter of the late Leo and Louise (Rosanna) Belisle.
She graduated from Bergland High School in 1947 and married Louis Olson that same year. Louis preceded her in death in 1963. In 1967, Joyce married Philip Paupore, who preceded her in death in 1989.
Joyce worked for many years as a cook for the Breitung Township School District.
A devout Catholic, she was an active member of American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford.
Joyce also volunteered for several years at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain.
She was an avid Packers fan, a terrific cook and loved gardening.
Joyce always put her family first -- they were her number one priority. She especially loved trips to Florida with her sister, Bern, to visit her daughter and grandkids, attending her grandchildren's sporting events, and spending summers at the family cottage.
She is survived by her son, John (Darla) Olson of Spread Eagle, Wis.; two daughters, Marlene Hann of Bellevue, Fla., and Lisa Bosley of Iron Mountain; five grandchildren, Kimber Manuel, Ed Poniatowski, Stacy Steber, Daryl (Jennifer) Olson, and Danny (Lauren) Olson; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and two husbands, Joyce was preceded in death by two sons, Randy and Ronald Olson; a granddaughter, Taylor Bosley; a grandson, Patrick Olson; a brother, Roy Belisle; and a sister, Bernadette Hasenberg.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 17, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home in Iron Mountain.
A memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at American Martyrs Catholic Church in Kingsford, with Father Greg Heikkala offering the Mass of Christian Burial.
Burial will be in Quinnesec Cemetery.
