SPREAD EAGLE, Wis. -- Keith Daniel Coy, 73, of Spread Eagle, Wis., passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Aug. 23, 2026.
Keith grew up in Burlington, Wis., before joining the United States Army. After his military service, Keith built a life centered around hard work, friendship, and the things he loved most. For many years, Keith owned and operated Custom Concrete, taking pride in his work and the business he built.
The love of Keith's life was Pam Counter, who preceded him in death in 2023. Together, Keith and Pam shared many adventures, especially their love of hunting and fishing. Their time together created memories that will be cherished forever.
Keith loved a good game of Pinochle and proudly referred to himself as the "Pinochle Legend." His competitive spirit, storytelling, and unmistakable personality made even an ordinary gathering memorable.
Keith was preceded in death by his beloved Pam; his son, Kyle Coy; and his parents, Daniel Coy and Nina Iverson.
He leaves behind his son, Ty (Angela) Counter; daughter Jeny (Dan) Shanoski; grandchildren Cade (Emma) Counter, Mia (Bryce) Counter, Tristen Shanoski, and Ryan Shanoski; and his sisters, Kim (Chuck) Burkett, Becky (Brad) Cleghorn, and Kathy (Wally) Mondro. He also leaves behind a very special cousin, Bob Ewert; along with many friends who were important parts of his life, including Sue, Jill, and Jack.
His family and friends will remember the man who was always ready with a story, a cigarette, a game of cards, and a comment he shouldn't have made.
Keith will be missed, remembered, and talked about for years to come.

A Celebration of Keith's Life will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 12, at the American Legion in Iron Mountain.
