IRON RIVER -- Avonelle "Avie" A. Powell, 89, of Iron River, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. in Bates Township Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Poindexter to officiate. The Nurses Honor Guard of Dickinson-Iron Counties will conduct honors at the graveside.
Funeral arrangements were handled by the Jacobs Funeral Home Inc. of Iron River.
