FELCH -- Carrie Suzanne Siegler, 64, died Thursday, Sept. 24, 2026, at her home in Felch.
Born Feb. 23, 1962, in Iron Mountain, Carrie was the eldest daughter of Harold Richard "Dick" and Karen (Mattson) Lindholm. She was raised in Felch and graduated from North Dickinson High School in 1980. She continued her education at Bay College.
Carrie married Dorn Allan Siegler on Aug. 25, 1984, at Zion Lutheran Church. Together they raised two sons, Jordan and Grant, in Felch.
Carrie was an active, lifelong member of Zion Lutheran Church, where she taught Sunday School for three decades and, more recently, served as parish secretary.
Children were an important part of Carrie's life. She was happiest and most fulfilled when surrounded by her family, particularly her three grandchildren, who were the greatest loves of her life. She delighted in creating joy for children and treasured every moment her family was with her.
Carrie enjoyed hosting people in her home and at camp on Six Mile Lake. She was a generous party planner who loved cooking, holiday traditions, family gatherings and the many occasions that brought the people in her life together. She had a remarkable gift for hospitality. Plans to serve five people for dinner often turned into a need to feed dozens more who were showing up. Somehow Carrie always managed it, sending everyone home with leftovers besides. With a large extended family and deep roots in the Felch area, she cherished the relationships and community that surrounded her throughout her life.
A voracious reader, Carrie always had a book close at hand. She also was a skilled pianist and enjoyed playing at home and at church. But she loved the outdoors most, especially a side-by-side ride through the woods with Dorn. Just days before she died, on one such ride, she was telling him how much she loved the smell of wet leaves blanketing the forest floor.
Carrie is survived by her husband, Dorn Siegler; two sons, Jordan (Lukas Dietz) Siegler of Madison, Wis., and Grant (Ashley) Siegler of Felch; three grandchildren, Hailee, Evelynn, and Fynn Siegler; her parents, Dick and Karen Lindholm of Felch; seven siblings, Steve (Tammy) Lindholm of Vermont, Laura (Todd) Kangas of Manistique, Anna (Mike) Christian of Felch, Jamie (Vicki) Lindholm of Felch, Mike (Amber) Lindholm of Felch, Alicia (Ray) Dambeck of Wisconsin, and Ken (Debra) Lindholm of Illinois; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Rose Siegler.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, Oct. 2, at Zion Lutheran Church in Felch. Visitation opens at 10 a.m., with a funeral beginning at 1 p.m. The Rev. Mike March will officiate. Carrie will be buried at Felch Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial gifts be made to the Zion Lutheran Church Sunday School program.
