KINGSFORD -- It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Courtney E. Bourassa, 33, of Kingsford, who died on Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
Courtney was born on March 18, 1993, in Iron Mountain, the daughter of Scott and Jacqueline (Ferris) Bourassa. A lifelong resident of the area, she graduated from Kingsford High School in 2011 and went on to earn her certification as a certified nursing aide. For the past six years, she dedicated herself to caring for others as a CNA at Freeman's Nursing Home in Kingsford.
Courtney was known for her kind and selfless nature -- always thinking of others and putting their needs before her own. She found joy in the simple things she loved most: golfing, camping, and, above all, spending time with her two daughters, who were her greatest pride and joy.
She is survived by her daughters, Arianna and Aubrey; her parents, Scott and Jacki Bourassa of Kingsford; her sister, Cassie Bourassa and her fiancé, Tyler Van Pembrook, of Oshkosh, Wis., and Cassie's children, Aiden, Natalie, and Wyatt; her brother, Tony (Hanna) Bourassa of Green Bay, Wis., and their daughters, Brooke and Bailey; her fiancé, Zach Marcell; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Nicole; her uncle, Jim Ferris; her aunt, Suzanne Carlson; and all of her grandparents.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Kingsford from noon until 2 p.m., with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. The Rev. Matt Ruesch will officiate. Burial will take place in Niagara Cemetery in Niagara.
