IRON MOUNTAIN -- Timothy Theodore Anderson, 80, formerly of Iron Mountain, passed away suddenly on Friday, Sept. 25, 2026, at Pinecrest Medical Facility in Powers. The family wishes to thank Pinecrest for their caring and attentive care for Tim. Tim was especially fond of the newest Pinecrest addition, Fluffy the dog.
Tim was born in Norway on Aug. 24, 1946, to Ted and Ruth Anderson. He graduated from Iron Mountain High School in 1964 and went on to attend electrician school in Milwaukee.
Tim had a lifelong love of sports and was a devoted fan of the Green Bay Packers, Detroit Lions, and Detroit Tigers. He also enjoyed collecting clocks and other special keepsakes. One of his favorite pastimes was playing Scrabble, where his skill at the game made many family gatherings especially memorable. Tim had been a member of First Covenant Church in Iron Mountain for many years.
Tim will be remembered and missed by his brother, Todd (Marilyn); sister Melodie (Jaye) Hayes; nephews Carl (Beth) and Mark; great-nieces Catelyn and Julia; along with cousins, extended family, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister Wendy; and sister-in-law Debbie (Mott) Anderson.
There will be no visitation or funeral service. Burial will take place at Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain.
