Arline M. Scott

HERMANSVILLE -- Arline M. Scott, 91, of Hermansville, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson in Iron Mountain.

Arline Mardell Anderson was born on Oct. 20, 1934, in Minneapolis, to Christ and Blanche "Albie" (Larson) Anderson.

In September of 1954, Arline married Keith E. Stuart and their marriage brought their family five children. Arline and Keith parted ways in November of 1963.

Arline met and later married James Scott on Feb. 19, 1966, in Bloomington, Minn., and added two more children to the fold.

Arline worked for Hopf & Hopf Printing in Minneapolis. Upon moving to Hermansville, she began working as a receptionist at the Hermansville Senior Center.

Some of Arline's hobbies included sewing, reading and listening to her son-in-law, John, play country music. She loved being on the road going to visit family and friends. Spending time with her family and morning coffee with her friends is what Arline enjoyed most. As an avid Minnesota Vikings fan she'd often tease and pick on the "wait until next year" era of Green Bay Packer fans.

Arline was a long-time member of Grace Lutheran Church in Powers, where she was active in the Ladies Aide.

Survivors include her six children, Sharline (William) Corrigan, Jennine (John) Whitens, Geraldine (Thomas) Corrigan, Colline "Pinky" (Kenneth) Betters, James Scott and Sean Scott; 14 grandchildren; and 28 great grandchildren.

Arline was preceded in death by her parents, Christ and Albie; husband James Scott; son Eugene; grandson Thomas "TJ" Corrigan; sisters Clarice, Elna, Beatrice "Toby" and Janet; brothers Carroll and Gene; and special friend Sonny Webber.

Visitation for Arline will be held at Grace Lutheran Church in Powers on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Doletzky officiating. Burial will follow in Spalding Township Cemetery. Allo Coolman Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Special thanks to Dr. Loewen and his staff, the staff at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson and special friends Holly Seurwier, April Thoune and Gail Maxwell, for the love, care and companionship given to Arline. Your kindness will never be forgotten.
