Daniel Pedo

IRON MOUNTAIN -- Daniel Louis Pedo, 69, of Iron Mountain, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026, at Marshfield Medical Center -- Dickinson in Iron Mountain.

He was born on Aug. 21, 1957, in Iron Mountain, the son of the late Robert and Germaine (Bruso) Pedo.

He will be remembered as a hardworking, sociable, and caring man whose conversations and personal warmth made others feel welcome and appreciated.

Daniel worked at Storheim's Restaurant and the Days Inn hotel. He enjoyed engaging with people and was known for his talkative nature, friendly spirit, and ability to make others feel good through conversation and personal interaction. He donated more than 20 gallons of blood in his life to help others.

He is survived by his three younger brothers, Steven Pedo of Redondo Beach, Calif., Gary Pedo of Iron Mountain and Michael Pedo of West Orange, N.J.; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Daniel found comfort and hope in the Lord Jesus Christ. The Christian faith proclaims that Jesus Christ died on the cross as the atoning sacrifice for sin and rose bodily from the dead, conquering death and securing the promise of everlasting life for all who trust in Him. In this gospel, Daniel found hope beyond the grave.

As Jesus said in John 11:25 (KJV), "I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live."

May Daniel's family and loved ones find comfort in God's word and in the sure hope of the resurrection. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him, and his life will be remembered with gratitude and affection.

Family will greet friends on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ortman Funeral Home in Norway.
