KINGSFORD -- Gregory Donald Gendron, 63, of Kingsford, passed away unexpectedly at work on Friday, Oct. 9, 2026.

Born on Oct. 4, 1963, in Iron Mountain, Greg was the only son of the late Donald and Vernell (Miller) Gendron. After graduating from Kingsford High School in 1981, he quickly demonstrated a strong work ethic. He built a fulfilling career as a diesel mechanic with U.S. Special Delivery and Cummins, and later worked in parts sales at the U.P. Truck Center.

Greg was passionate about racing, especially the Norway races, and served as president of the Great Lakes Race Kart Association. A dedicated, longtime member of the Aurora Free Church, he also enjoyed snowmobiling and cheering on the Packers. Above all, Greg treasured time spent with his family. He leaves behind fond memories of working in his garage with one of his favorite pooches under his feet and passing down life lessons to his beloved grandchildren.

Greg will be deeply missed by his wife, Gwen Gendron; four children, Collin (Cheyenne) Gendron, Sam Gendron, Kasey Gendron, and Ben (Autumn) Gendron; three grandchildren, Briggin, Ellie Jo, and Paisley; six loving granddogs; and many other family and friends.
