IRON MOUNTAIN -- Judy Lynn Doney, 67, of Iron Mountain, passed away peacefully on Oct. 4, 2026, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay, Wis., surrounded by her loved ones.
Judy was born May 30, 1959, in Milwaukee, to Roger and Kathleen (McCarthy) Duchaine. She graduated from Kingsford High School and went on to build a long career at CSA Air.
A true social butterfly, Judy had a gift for making friends wherever she went, while also cherishing lifelong friendships with those who held a special place in her heart. She had a wonderful sense of humor, a generous spirit, and was always willing to help. Friendship and community were important to Judy, and she was an active member of Women's Club, which was a special part of her life for many years.
Of all the roles Judy held, being a mom and a grandma was what she treasured most. She showed up for birthdays, holidays, school events and life's moments both big and small. She especially treasured the close relationships she shared with her grandchildren, McKenna, Bailey and Tanner.
Judy loved playing cards and was a longtime member of a smear league. She also enjoyed trips to the casino, bowling, camping, walking, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
She was a member of St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain.
Judy leaves behind her children, Jenni, Amy, Trisha (Randy), Ryan (Samantha) and Stephanie (Joe); her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her sisters, Cindy Campbell and Caryn Carlson; her former husbands, Robert Wicklund, father of her children, and Mike Doney, both of whom remained part of her life; and her many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kathleen (McCarthy) and Roger Duchaine; her sister, Darcy (Al) Wahlstrom; her niece, Danielle Fleming; and her brother-in-law, Paul Campbell.
Judy will be remembered for her generous heart, her laughter, her friendships, and above all, her love for her family.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, Oct. 16, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary & St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iron Mountain. Father Janusz Romanek will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial.
A Celebration of Judy's Life will follow from 2 to 5 p.m. at Bob & Geri's. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Judy's life. In honor of Judy and her love of all things purple, those attending are warmly invited to wear a touch of purple in her memory.
