IRON MOUNTAIN -- Tina Marie Kleinhuizen Schmidt, (nee Meneguzzo), 52, of Iron Mountain, born Oct. 31, 1979, passed away peacefully on Sept. 29, 2026, at St. Luke's Hospital following an unexpected illness.
Tina was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend who brought warmth and kindness to everyone she met. Her laugh was unforgettable, and her caring heart and generosity touched the lives of so many. Tina had a way of making people feel welcome and loved, and the memories she created with her family and friends will be cherished forever.
Tina's greatest joy was the people she loved. She treasured her family and the time spent with those closest to her. Her laughter, kindness, and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Tina is survived by her loving husband, Eric Schmidt; her daughter, Paige Kleinhuizen; her stepson, Cody Schmidt; her mother and stepfather, Cheryl and Jim Massie; her sisters, Lisa (Rob) Myhren and Tara (Brian) Meneguzzo; her stepbrother, Tom (Emily) Massie; her nieces and nephew, Madison, Nina, Sylvia, and Michael; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. All who knew and loved Tina will continue to carry her memory in their hearts and cherish the love, laughter, and memories she shared with them.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Meneguzzo; and her grandparents, Donald and Delores Lord, and Anthony and Marguerite Meneguzzo.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 31, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Venue 906, 900 W. Breitung Ave., Kingsford. Family and friends are invited to come together to share stories, memories, laughter, and celebrate the life of Tina.
Tina may no longer be with us, but her laughter, kindness, and love will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved her.
