IRON MOUNTAIN -- Nick Robert Pietrantonio, 42, of Iron Mountain passed away on Sunday, Nov. 1, 2026, at the Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on Oct. 10, 1984, in Iron Mountain to Mary (Helgren) Blom and the late Nick L. Pietrantonio, Nick went on to graduate from Iron Mountain High School in 2003. Following graduation, he began working as a roofer.
A reserved young man with a deeply thoughtful and generous spirit, Nick took great joy in simple pleasures, whether spending time fishing, hunting, or listening to music. He truly valued friendships made, deep conversations and good meals shared at the RU Free faith based program led by Pastor Kevin Sullivan, and he felt deeply honored to join the group on a trip to the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter Park in Kentucky. Though Nick didn't always have much to give, he was always eager to share whatever he had with others.
Nick will be deeply missed by his son, Brayden Pietrantonio; mother and stepfather Mary "Kandy" and Phil Blom; brother Jamie Pietrantonio; three aunts and five uncles, Kathy Fleury, Krissy Axberg, Tina Pietrantonio, John Helgren, Jim Helgren, Jeff Helgren, Bruce Pietrantonio and Dean Pietrantonio; and many cousins and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Nick L. Pietrantonio; maternal grandparents Bob and Mary Helgren; and his paternal grandparents, Nick and Ginny Pietrantonio.
A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
Nick's family would like to thank the entire staff at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson, especially Dr. Kenneth Friar, for the extraordinary care provided to Nick and his family. They would also like to thank Pastor Sullivan, Jesse Hakola, Jason Schultz, Dan Rahm, Tom Harrison and Allan Mauro of the RU Free program for their friendship and support.
