David E. Johnson

IRON MOUNTAIN — David E. Johnson, 72, of Iron Mountain, passed away unexpectedly at his home of natural causes on Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Dec. 19, at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Norway. A funeral service will follow at noon at the church, with the Rev. James Danielson officiating. Burial will be in the Quinnesec Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International or the Almost Home Animal Shelter. The family has entrusted arrangements to the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.

FLORENCE, Wis. — Richard E. Schalow, 81, of Florence, passed away Thursday, Dec. 11, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center-Dickinson in Iron Mountain. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Florence, Wis. A memorial Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at the church, officiated by Father Soja Joseph. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Florence. The family has entrusted arrangements to the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain.

IRON RIVER — Lucy Ehlinger, 98, of Iron River, passed away quietly on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2025, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls, surrounded by her family. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held on Friday, Dec. 19, 2025, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Vincent De Paul in Iron River. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Alvin, Wis. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.

EWEN — Rick L. Moore, 67, of Ewen, passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2025, in flight after complications from a brief illness. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, Dec. 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the VFW Post 2891 in Crystal Falls. Interment will be in Fernwood Cemetery in Wellston, Mich. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
