Gail ‘Poodie’ Dalpra

CRYSTAL FALLS — It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Gail Marie Dalpra, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, who departed this world on Aug. 18, 2026, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital, surrounded by her family. The funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, at United Lutheran Church in Crystal Falls, with visitation from 9 to 11 a.m. and a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. The family has entrusted the Nash Funeral Home of Crystal Falls with the arrangements.

IRON RIVER — Avonelle “Avie” A. Powell, 89, of Iron River, passed away on Thursday, Aug. 13, 2026, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 11 a.m. in Bates Township Cemetery, with Pastor Mike Poindexter to officiate. The Nurses Honor Guard of Dickinson-Iron Counties will conduct honors at the graveside. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Jacobs Funeral Home Inc. of Iron River.
