KINGSFORD — Joan D. Nelson, 70, of Kingsford, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born on May 28, 1954, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Olson) Kulman. A lifelong resident of the area, Joan graduated from Kingsford High School in 1972.

IRON RIVER — Cornel R. Benson, 89, of Iron River, passed away on Monday, Feb. 3, 2025, at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, May 24, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the Grace Covenant Church in Iron River.
A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Mike Poindexter to officiate.
Interment will be in Bates Township Cemetery.

SALT LAKE CITY — Daniel C. Schaut, 62, formerly of Aurora Wis., loving father, husband, brother, and son; died suddenly from a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis and various other medical conditions, on Nov. 17, 2024, at his home in Utah.
