AMASA — Larry Schiavo, 86, of the Amasa area, passed away peacefully on Monday, Aug. 31, 2026. Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Amasa, followed by a memorial service at noon at the church. Pastor D.J. Rasner will officiate. Burial will be in the Amasa Cemetery. The family has entrusted the Nash Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Crystal Falls with the arrangements.
IRON RIVER — John W. Roberts, 70, of Iron River, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2026, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Private family services were held. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Jacobs Funeral Home of Iron River.
NORWAY — Gerald Joseph Gauthier, 98, of Norway, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2026, while taking a ride with his daughter. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12, at the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home, 901 Carpenter Ave. The Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 401 Main St., Norway, with Father Abraham Mupparathara officiating. Burial will be in the Iron Mountain Cemetery Park. The family has entrusted the Erickson-Rochon & Nash Funeral Home of Iron Mountain with the arrangements.
