US not main offender behind climate change
The world is going to end in 12 years, unless we do something about global warming. The problem is that an ignorant statement by a millennial does not make it so.
Scientific evidence proves that at the advent of humans on the planet, Earth was 15 degrees warmer than it is now. Yet many scientists are worried that if we do not act, humans will raise the temperature of the Earth by 2 degrees by the year 2100.
Let’s assume that we still want to prevent the extra 2 degrees of warming that humans are causing. The United States has little that it can do to stop it. By the end of 2019, China will be producing 1,252 gw of electricity by burning coal, while India will be producing 261 gw. Meanwhile, the U.S. is reducing its coal-fired plants and will be under 250gw.
China drives 332 million vehicles and that number increases greatly every day. The European Union drives 295 million vehicles. Both of these totals are greater than the United States.
Finally, humans exhale approximately a half-ton of carbon dioxide each year; therefore, China and India combined add 3 trillion tons of carbon dioxide just by breathing. The U.S., in contrast, adds only 12% of what China and India contribute.
If you want to do something about global warming, encourage your politicians to strongly advocate to China and India to reduce their populations over time, which will be the only way to “save our planet!”
The United States is a leader in population reduction, as our current birth rate will ensure that our native population will decline.
