As a local family physician for the past 14 years, I cannot fully emphasize the impact Dickinson County Health Department has on the well-being of our community.

I am a strong believer in the education provided for maternal-fetal health. The health department provides this service exceptionally well. It is very important for our young families to have support and education for healthy eating, healthy vaccination practices, breastfeeding and great parenting skills. Our health department provides all of those services.

I also commonly encourage my adults patients to get their vaccinations at the health department, as this is often subsidized and is at a fraction of the cost of getting these in my office.
