No and yes on Iron County ballot issues
Vote no on the veteran millage in Iron County. Michigan law requires county governments to fund veterans offices.
Iron County has always proudly funded the veteran office. The 2020 budget funds $38,000 for the Iron County Veterans Office. Jerry Williams is recognized as one of the best veterans administrators.
This millage is a cowardly proposal to increase the money in the general fund. The 2020 budget has more than $80,000 of disposal money, yet the “Gang of Three” want more money. Please vote no.
Please vote yes on the renewal millage for the health department.
