Need to focus on positive actions

We need to stop the rampage of fear that has overtaken our nation and our world.

I heard a minister say the other day that when 9/11 happened an attitude of fear came into our nation. This pandemic has served to increase and feed that fear. Fear begets more fear. Fear is a paralyzing emotion, a negative, destructive thing.

We need to follow guidelines that make sense but not in fear. God created this nation and has blessed it all these years. We need to start to think on that, a positive thought process. Be thankful for his blessing and protections. We need to do what positive things we can do for ourselves and others.

We must push off this fear and negativity and go forward. Our thoughts and words and prayers can change things.

In times of trouble, I remember something our mother used to say from back in the 1960s, when she was left with five children as her husband was sick at the veterans hospital. She would say, “This, too, shall pass.”

A little faith and humor sure helped us through those dark days. I think it will help us through this strange time in our lives. If we remember who our God is, because he remembers us.
